My research interests in the area of cognitive science:
- body representations, their development (body schema, body image), and modeling in robots
- minimally cognitive robotics - links between locomotion and cognition (forward models, sensorimotor contingencies, ...)
- legged robots and their control
- embodiment, morphological computation
M. Hoffmann received his Mgr. (M.S.) degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence at Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic, in 2006, and his PhD degree at Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (Prof. Rolf Pfeifer), University of Zurich, Switzerland, in 2012.
Matej Hoffmann is an external member of Incognite, currently a postdoctoral researcher at the iCub Facility, Italian Institute of Technology, Genoa.
